Acceptance
By signing up, paying for, or using EmergencyQR (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You may create a profile for a minor or dependent only as their legal guardian.
What EmergencyQR is — and isn't
EmergencyQR generates a unique QR code that, when scanned, shows emergency information to a bystander (limited subset) or to a medical professional (full subset, OTP-verified).
EmergencyQR is NOT a substitute for emergency services, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always call 108 (ambulance), 100 (police), or 101 (fire) in an emergency. The first-aid summaries on this site are general guidance, not training. If you need medical advice, consult a qualified doctor.
Your account
- Your account is tied to your mobile number. Keep your phone secure — anyone with access to your OTP can sign in.
- One account per person. Do not share or sell accounts.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information on your profile.
- You may delete your account from Settings at any time. Your QR stops working immediately.
Fees and payment
The Service is offered for a one-time fee of ₹100 (Indian rupees), inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payment is processed by Razorpay; their terms apply to your payment.
Once paid and your QR is generated, the fee is non-refundable, except as required by Indian consumer-protection law. [LAWYER REVIEW — refund clause under Consumer Protection Act 2019]
Accuracy of your information
You are responsible for entering accurate, complete, and up-to-date information — blood group, allergies, medications, emergency contacts, medical documents, etc. EmergencyQR cannot verify the accuracy of what you submit.
Inaccurate or outdated information shown to a bystander or medical professional could result in incorrect treatment. You agree to keep your profile current, especially after any change in your medical history, medications, or emergency contacts.
Scanner conduct
If you scan someone else's QR:
- You agree to use the information solely to assist them in an emergency.
- You will not record, photograph, or share their personal, medical, or contact information beyond what is necessary to help them.
- If you choose the Medical Professional gate, you confirm you are a licensed medical professional or paramedical staff acting in your professional capacity.
- All scans are logged with your phone number, IP address, and user agent. Misuse may result in legal action.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload another person's data without authorisation.
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes, fraud, or harassment.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, OTP verification, or access controls.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without written consent. Responsible disclosure is welcome — security@emergencyqr.in.
